Rheinländer Retail Version

Along the banks of the Rhine lie stretches of land waiting for a new ruler. In Rheinländer Retail Version you step into the shoes of a duke who wants to build up his own territory. You hold cards in your hand that match numbered spots along the river. By placing your knights on the right spots, you lay the foundation for your duchy. Once you have settled in, it is time to expand. You add more land and build castles, cathedrals and cities. Those buildings not only make your territory more valuable, they also give you advantages during play. While you are busy, your fellow players are not sitting still, as they are after the very same pieces of ground. The game ends the moment someone has no knights left at the end of a turn. Whoever has gathered the most points by then may call themselves the mightiest duke along the Rhine. A game full of choices where you keep a close eye on what everyone else is planning.
