This special version replaces the books from the original game with emeralds. You collect these glittering stones by visiting other players' towns or by taking them over yourself. With emeralds you buy buildings and set powerful actions in motion. Want to keep those pirates in your service after a fight? Then your emeralds will come in handy. The building deck has been put together completely anew and fits this fresh style of play perfectly.
