Yokai Sketch

Deep in the forest live the Yokai, spirits that rarely show themselves. Anyone who comes across them wants to capture them. In Yokai Sketch you step into the shoes of a curious artist who tries to catch these shy creatures in sketches. Whoever finishes the finest drawings collects the most points and wins the duel. The game uses two decks of cards. On one side you find four kinds of Yokai, each linked to an element: water, fire, earth or wind. On the other side lie the sketches. On your turn you take a sketch card and slide a card under one of the piles in the middle. That way you reveal an element. Collect enough sketches with a Yokai and you get to take it with you. But watch out: in a tie the spirit takes fright and disappears. Some cards also have special powers that let you lure or distract Yokai. Yokai Sketch is part of Devir's handy series: small boxes with big playing fun, perfect to take along. The rules are quick to explain and a game is over fast. Chances are you will start again straight away. Sharpen your pencils and go hunting for the forest spirits, together at the table.
