Vivo

In Vivo it is all about making music together at the table. Each round starts by revealing a harmony: Solo, Duet, Trio or Quartet. That harmony sets how many colours you have to play into the trick. If you cannot manage it, you play 'out of time' and sit out the points for a moment. That way everyone keeps each other sharp. At the end of each trick the decision falls. Whoever played the highest card in harmony takes two points. But watch out: whoever played the lowest card in harmony scores the value of that card. So those low bass notes are surprisingly important. You always have to choose: do you go for the top or for the bottom? Vivo is for three or four players and a game takes about half an hour. Plenty of time for tension, a grin over a good move and those moments when someone pulls exactly the right card out of their sleeve. From ten years and up, everyone can join in this cheerful trick-taking game.
