In The Chase of the Bismarck: Operation Rheinübung 1941 you step back to May 1941, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. One player hunts the mighty battleship Bismarck, the other tries to guide it safely into port. Each turn stands for almost five hours of real time, and you move your ships and planes in secret on your own search board. Where is the enemy? That is the tension that hangs over the whole evening. The game falls into two parts. First there is the search: you call out zones where you have enough resources to track down your opponent's ships. As soon as your ships turn up in the same zone, they move to the combat board. There everything revolves around the distance to the enemy, and a clear system decides who gains the upper hand. This is a game for two players who take their time. Expect a long evening full of choices, bluff and tension. It ends when the Bismarck sinks, reaches a friendly port, or when the last turn on the evening of 29 May has been played. A real test of strength for fans of history and tactics.
