And here is the beautiful part: no species can make it alone. To keep your economy running you have to negotiate, trade and strike deals with the players around you. In Sidereal Confluence Remastered Edition it is all about reaching something together, while you quietly also want to grow as big as you can yourself. The heart of the game is the open trading phase. Everyone talks, offers and trades at the same time. Resources, ships, colonies and even temporary loans of technology all cross the table. It almost feels cooperative, because your little factories simply need different cubes than they produce. After that everyone runs their economy at the same time, followed by the Confluence, in which new technology is shared and players bid on fresh colonies and research teams. Whoever develops a new technology shares it with the whole galaxy and earns a good pile of points for it. This is a game for fans of talking, dealmaking and big plans. Expect a long evening with four to nine players aged fourteen and up, in which almost everything happens at the same time and nobody has to wait. The Remastered Edition plays exactly like the original from 2017, but with clearer cards, a handy overview and an improved rulebook with more examples. That way you get into the story faster and stay at the table longer.
