At the busy market of Nottingham, the stalls are packed with goods from all over the kingdom. Most of it is perfectly legal, but Prince John wants nothing forbidden to be sold. That is why he appointed the sheriff to inspect the merchants' bags. And let's be honest: that sheriff is quite willing to look the other way, as long as the reward is good enough. In Sheriff of Nottingham 2nd Edition, players take turns playing the sheriff. The others are the merchants, who stuff their bags with the best goods and sometimes sneak in something forbidden. The question is always the same: do you believe what you are told, or do you smell trouble? The sheriff may open any bag he likes, but watch out. If you are wrong, you have to pay. And so a wonderful game of bluffing, doubting and negotiating unfolds around the table. This new edition has clearer rules and is packed with extras. Think of the sixth merchant, the Black Market and the deputy sheriffs. For three to six players aged 14 and up, and ready for an evening full of sly deals and loud accusations.
