What if the Germans had wanted to take Iceland during the Second World War? That is exactly the question Operation Icarus takes you into. The game sketches a battle that never really happened, but that you get to fight out yourself here. Two players face each other on the rugged, bare island, where every decision counts. You and your opponent dive together into a struggle that is all about plans and choices. One tries to gain a foothold in Iceland, the other does everything possible to prevent it. Every move you make has consequences, and you soon notice that you have to keep thinking ahead the whole time. Expect an evening full of tension, because this is not a game you play quickly in between other things. With a playing time of around three hours, Operation Icarus is meant for players who like depth. You can join in from twelve years old, and you need exactly two people at the table.
