High on Mount Olympus, the gods look down on the world. They pass the time, until news reaches their ears: a new city is being built. Kleos, a city that could one day surpass even Troy and Athens. Zeus declares a contest that lasts a week. Who will become the patron god of this mighty city? In Kleos you step into the role of a Greek god and do everything you can to win. And do not forget: gods do not play fair. You choose from five gods, each with their own champion and their own set of cards. Would you rather play as Ares, Artemis, Hermes, Athena or Dionysus? Each has their own power and style. On a board full of hexes you send armies against each other, while you play cards for blessings and curses. Summon heroes and monsters such as Medusa, Perseus and Pegasus, and place them in the right spot. Where you put your troops often decides who wins. Kleos asks you to think and to play together. You manage the actions of your creatures, fight over areas and keep looking for the right moment to strike. With room for one to five players and games of about two hours, this is a game to really dive into. For players of fourteen and up who love battle, strategy and a hefty dose of Greek mythology.
