Hi9

This is the multilingual edition. In Hi9 it is all about nerve and a bit of luck. On your turn you draw cards and try to place them in a 3 by 3 grid. First you pick a spot. Then you predict: will the number on the card be higher or lower than the cards next to it? Get it right and the card stays put. Get it wrong and you have to pick up all the cards from the grid. And that is exactly what you want to avoid, because at the end of the game the player with the fewest cards wins. The fun part is that the tension rises with every card. Everyone watches along while you turn a card over, and that creates those moments where you laugh, groan or lean back cheering together. Special cards and actions throw a spanner in the works now and then. That way you can take the lead or get in another player's way for a moment. You can explain the rules in a couple of minutes and there is no reading involved, so younger players can join in right away. A game takes about fifteen minutes, so you can easily fit one in after dinner or during a game night. The box is small, so you can take it along to the beach, on holiday or to grandma and grandpa. With 70 colourful cards in a fresh pop art style by Ronin Design, it looks cheerful on the table too.
