Fjords

This edition is in English and French. Picture a landscape so breathtaking that even a Viking would fall silent for a moment. In Fjords you build that landscape yourself, tile by tile. With hexagonal pieces you lay down mountains, water and plains, and slowly a map takes shape that becomes the playing area. No two games look the same. The game falls into two parts. First you explore the fjords together and place your longhouses in a good spot. Then you travel through the area you have just created and try to claim as many plains and cliffs as you can for yourself. Whoever holds the most land at the end wins. Thinking ahead helps, but you also need the nerve to respond to what your opponent does. This edition of Fjords has been expanded compared to the first version. You can now play with up to four players, and it includes five new modules designed by Phil Walker-Harding. That keeps the game fresh every time, and you can choose how much depth you want.
