Somewhere in the wild hides a creature that no one has ever really seen. You are searching for it, together with a small group of other researchers. Everyone knows a small piece of the truth, but nobody knows the whole picture. In Cryptid it is all about asking questions, listening carefully and revealing just enough so you do not give away too much yourself. On your turn you ask another player something and try to work out where the beast is hiding. But watch out: give away too much and someone else takes the credit, while you find the creature just a little too late. It is a thrilling game of searching, thinking and putting each other on the wrong track, without ever being allowed to lie. Every game is different thanks to the board you lay out anew each time and the hundreds of possible starting set-ups.
