Coup

Welcome to a corrupt Italian city, where nobody can be trusted and power means everything. In Coup you are the head of a family that wants just one thing: to survive. You whisper, bluff and buy your way to the top, while your opponent tries to do exactly the same. Whoever stays standing longest wins. The beauty of Coup is that you never know for sure what the other player is holding. Are they playing a strong role, or only pretending? Do you dare to catch them out? Every turn is a little game of cat and mouse, where a good lie is sometimes worth more than the best card. Before you know it you are sitting across from each other full of tension, with a grin that gives everything away. This card game is for two players, takes about an hour and is suitable from age 12. Coup is set in the same world as The Resistance, but you do not need that game to get started. Perfect for an evening full of bluffing, suspicion and plenty of fun.
