Get ready for an evening full of laughter, speed and a ticking timer that can go off at any moment. In Buzzed Out, the goal is for your teammate to guess as quickly as possible which word or phrase you are describing. You can only use your voice, because gestures are not allowed. And the hardest part: you may not use any part of the word itself. Who stays calm as the tension rises? The game revolves around a card with ten words and an electronic timer that runs for a surprising number of seconds. You describe, your teammate guesses, and as soon as the answer is right the card moves to the other team. So the card goes back and forth, faster and faster, because nobody wants to be holding it when the buzzer sounds. That team loses the round. With four to six players and games of around thirty minutes, this is exactly the kind of game that turns an ordinary evening into a party. There is nothing complicated to learn and within a minute everyone is playing along. Perfect for when you are together with friends or family and feel like a bit of healthy chaos.
