Amun-Re

Travel back to ancient Egypt, to a time of pharaohs, temples and mighty pyramids. In Amun-Re you take on the role of a Nomarch, a ruler who wants to seize power over the provinces of the land. You bid for the best piece of land, grow your fields and buy stone to build your own pyramids. Whoever plans and sacrifices most cleverly sees their realm grow the fastest. The game takes place during the Old Kingdom and the New Kingdom. At the end of each round you make an offering to Amun-Re, the sun god. Give enough and you are rewarded with a rich harvest and your influence grows. Every choice counts, because your opponents are after the same land and the same favours. The tension at the table rises with every bid that is made. This release is a new version of the classic by Reiner Knizia. It includes three expansions, which let you prepare your own tomb for the afterlife, build statues across the land and enjoy the game with fewer players too. That way you play Amun-Re in a different way every time.
