Picture this: you are a divine being who has raised a demigod in the world of mortals. Only you know which child is yours. The rest of the table is in the dark. In Veiled Fate you play a game of deception and quiet influence. You send demigods out on missions, nudge fate in the right direction and try to sneak your own demigod onto the throne. Reveal who you protect at the wrong moment, and the others will join forces to bring your child down. There are nine demigods in the game. At the start, each player is secretly assigned one of them as their own child. But once play begins, you may steer the deeds of every demigod, not just your own. On your turn you have two actions to send demigods on adventures. Every quest can go two ways, and you decide that with secret vote cards. Only when a quest is finished are the cards turned over, and then you see who earns glory and who loses it. After three ages, the player whose demigod has the most glory wins. That demigod takes the throne. Veiled Fate is part bluffing and unmasking, part pure strategy. Every move someone makes is a new clue about who they are really protecting. Can you see through everyone else's plans while paving your own road to victory? At a table with two to eight players it becomes a wonderful web of suspicion and surprises.
