Vienna, the early twentieth century. Every Wednesday, thinkers gather in Sigmund Freud's apartment to talk about dreams, thoughts and everything that goes on deep inside our heads. From that small circle grew a movement that would touch the whole world. In Unconscious Mind you step into that room as a member of this remarkable club. You want to become Freud's most respected contemporary. To do that, you open your own practice, gather clients and come up with new ways to help them. You place your Ideas (your workers) on the large meeting table to take actions: laying tiles, choosing and playing cards, and travelling through the city. To treat your clients, you dive into their dreams. From the dreams at the surface to the deeper layers below, lifting transparent layers off the cards and unlocking new powers along the way. And of course everyone drinks plenty of coffee in the meantime, because without coffee there is no clear mind. Unconscious Mind is a meaty euro game for players who like depth. With worker placement, building your own engine and effects that trigger one another, you will be busy for two hours. Will you play with friends, or completely on your own thanks to the separate solo mode? Whoever has the most points at the end may call themselves Freud's best student.
