Trust

In Trust you step into the shoes of a company, a bank or the government. Everyone wants the same thing: as little debt as possible at the end of the ride. But the road there is full of bluff, doubt and exciting choices. Who dares to take the package, and who smells a rat? The game revolves around packages of cards. One half shows what something is worth, the other half stays hidden as debt. You can accept such a package, add cards to it and pass it on, or you can say out loud that you doubt whether the value covers the debts. Guess wrong and you are left with the debts yourself. Every player also has their own rating that affects your hand cards, so you are never guessing completely in the dark. With three to six players, Trust becomes a real game of cat and mouse around the table. You read each other's faces, you weigh things up and you hope the other person blinks first. In about three quarters of an hour you share a tough battle in which trust is both your greatest weapon and your biggest pitfall.
