Set course for the great age of steam. Between the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869 and the start of the First World War, ships became bigger, faster and more modern. In Transatlantic you take on the role of director of your own shipping line. You carry cargo, mail and passengers all over the world and try to build your fleet into a name everyone knows. You buy new steamships on the market, each with its own historical data and features. But the best ships alone are not enough. Without coal supplies and trading posts you will not get anywhere. The North Atlantic route is fought over most fiercely, because whoever wins the coveted Blue Riband earns not only prestige but also a lot of money. The game is all about cards. Each turn you play one card and carry out the matching action. Along the way you build up your own deck with more and more options. Luck plays hardly any role; it is about good choices and sharp thinking. A strategic adventure for two to four players who enjoy deep decisions and tension at the table.
