The Possession

A weekend away with friends in a wooden cabin in the woods. Drinks, good food and a party. Sounds perfect, right? Until something ancient and evil wakes up. The age-old evil creeps under your skin and finds exactly where you are weak. If nobody finds the book of the dead and destroys it in time, this will be your last night as a human. In The Possession, 3 to 5 players play against the clock. The evil prowls around and every round it can get hold of you. Once you are possessed, you turn into a bloodthirsty demon hunting the souls of your friends. At the start of each round everyone rolls a die: the more wounds you have, the easier it is for the evil to take you over. Action cards decide how much you can do, but wanting a lot also means a bigger risk of an ominous event. Search the whole cabin for pages from the book, and collect items, weapons and keys to reach the cellar and the attic. Burn enough pages on the altar before the evil has taken everyone and you win. Are you possessed? Then you have to attack your friends to feed the evil. You smash in doors and climb through windows to surprise the others. The other players can fight back, but the only way to stop a possessed player is to tear them completely to pieces. And watch out: those loose limbs simply crawl on afterwards to grab you anyway.
