Step aboard the great treasure fleet and experience a piece of history you won't soon forget. In The Ming Voyages you take on the role of the Ming emperor or of the barbarian ruler. One wants to complete seven grand sea voyages, the other tries to invade the borders and spoil those plans. Two goals, two very different ways of playing, and always that exciting question: who holds out the longest? The game revolves around cards that can do several things at once. You play them to strengthen armies, launch attacks or bring a voyage closer. But watch out: at the end of every turn you swap hands with your opponent. That makes each choice a little more thrilling, because what you leave behind now may soon end up in the other player's hands. In the battles at the border you roll dice and hope for the right combinations. Cards you held back give you the chance to reroll. With two separate rulebooks you can play The Ming Voyages against each other or entirely on your own. A game takes about half an hour, so you may well have time for another voyage. Great for players aged 12 and up who enjoy tactics, a touch of history and plenty of tension at the table.
