The Cousins' War

Travel back to the Wars of the Roses, a turbulent time in English history. In The Cousins' War you take on the roles of the Houses of York and Lancaster. Each of you fights for power over England, and only the player with the best plan takes the throne. This is a game for two, where every move counts and nothing comes easy. The game lasts five rounds at most, and each round stands for a few years of struggle. You gain influence in the land, send armies to the right places and battle to take control of the regions. Bluffing is part of it. Act as if you are strong, surprise your opponent and keep your real plan hidden until the last moment. Whoever controls the most regions at the end, or holds the whole country, wins. With a playing time of about 30 minutes, The Cousins' War is lovely to put on the table for a quick game. Even so, it has plenty of depth to keep you looking for new approaches. Every game feels different, and that makes playing together exciting time after time. Suitable from age 12.
