Tedoku

Do you know that great feeling when a sudoku suddenly works out? Tedoku gives you exactly that, but with a surprising twist. You roll a die, turn over a card and then draw shapes on your own sheet. The result is a puzzle that brings together logical thinking and spatial shuffling. Perfect for a quiet moment on your own, but just as much fun with a whole group at the table. Every player has a grid of 9 by 9 squares. Over twenty rounds you fill it in step by step. At the start of each round you turn over a card and roll the Tedoku die. The card points to a row, a column or a 3 by 3 box. The die shows which shape you have to draw. Everyone works with the same roll, so you are all puzzling with exactly the same task. You may rotate and mirror the shapes, as long as they fit within the grid and do not overlap. Can't fit a shape in neatly? Then you skip that round. After twenty turns you score points for every row, column and box you have completed. The highest score wins. Because everyone plays at the same time and setup is done in a flash, you get into the flow quickly. And since the rolls come out differently every time, you never play the same game twice.
