St Patrick is a card game in which you win and lose tricks, and where it is all about making the right call. It combines the fun of taking tricks with daring to bet on your own cards. Everyone starts with 20 life points. During the game you take damage, and the game ends as soon as someone reaches zero. Whoever has the most points left at that moment wins. The special part is the bidding. Before you play a hand, you look closely at your cards and estimate how many points you are willing to lose. That bid works like a kind of insurance: you are only penalised for the points you lose above that bid. But watch out, because if the bids of all players together match the total damage exactly, everyone loses their own bid and the hands pass on to the next player. That way someone else gets the chance to do better with the same cards. In St Patrick you use relics to dodge snake bites and keep as many life points as you can.
