Solar Sphere

Earth has been drained dry. All the energy is gone, and if humanity wants a future among the stars, something big has to happen. Together you build a Dyson sphere: a giant construction around the sun that provides enough power for a life far beyond our own planet. In Solar Sphere you take the helm of a mothership and take on that challenge. You roll your dice and send them out like little spaceships to places where there is something to gain. One collects resources, another builds the sphere, hires crew or fights aliens who want the sun for themselves. With your drones you can adjust the results of your dice, improve locations or strengthen your crew in a fight. Each crew member has their own powers, and if you link them up cleverly, your mothership grows into a real machine. The nice thing is that Solar Sphere sometimes sets you against each other and sometimes puts you side by side. If too many aliens show up and nobody deals with them, you all lose points. Fighting together earns rewards that you share. That keeps the tension at the table until the very end, with plenty of choices to take a different path each time. Do you prefer playing alone?
