SETUP

This edition is in German, English, French and Dutch. In SETUP it is all about building runs and grabbing points. You place tiles and form sets of the same colour or of rising numbers. The smarter you place, the more points you score and the further you move across the board. The fun part is that you have to stay sharp, even when it is not your turn. Does an opponent accidentally put a tile in your bonus space? Then you claim those extra points with a big smile. Planning ahead does not always work out, and that is exactly what makes it exciting. The tiles pile up, and that lovely run you had in mind can disappear just like that when someone else takes a turn. So you keep adapting and looking for the best moment. In just under half an hour you share a game full of choices, surprises and just the right bit of luck. Want to take it a step further? Then play in teams. Together with your partner you plan the sets, help each other to points and sneakily hand each other bonuses. Do keep an eye on your score, because as soon as the first player passes the finish, the game is over. And here is the joke: you do not win by finishing first, but by making sure your team is not the last one over the line.
