Scattergories Categories

Do you know that tingle when the clock is ticking and your mind is racing? In Scattergories Categories you take a word written from top to bottom, and for each letter you think of a fitting word within a category. Take the word FOOD: then you look for something with an F, an O, another O and a D. Frankfurter, Olive, Oatcake, Date. Sounds easy, until the sand timer joins in. You have two minutes on the clock, and in that short time you have to switch gears fast. Everyone works on the same word, and that is exactly where the laughter comes from: one player writes down something very ordinary, while another surprises the table with an answer nobody thought of.
