Sandbag

Picture this: a hot air balloon festival, colourful balloons above the meadows and one simple goal. Get higher than everyone else. In Sandbag you throw as many sandbags overboard as you can and try to grab rockets, so your balloon climbs further and further into the sky. Whoever travels lightest wins. Sandbag is a trick-taking game with a fun twist: here you do not want to win every trick. Each round you set up your basket with two face-up cards, and the colour that appears most often on the table becomes the trump. With every trick you choose what to do. Play a card from your hand, dump a sandbag to get out of a trick, or snatch a face-up card from your opponent. Because cards keep changing places, the trump can suddenly change too. What makes this game so infectious is how much you are all focused on each other. Everyone watches everyone else and tries to stay just one step ahead. Sandbag really comes to life with a bigger group, so feel free to bring in some friends and see who dares to rise the highest.
