Royal Visit

The valley is buzzing, because the king is on his way! What an honour it would be if the royal court stopped at your castle. In Royal Visit you do everything you can to draw the king to your side of the valley. If you succeed, your name will be spoken of as a legend for years to come. This two-player game by Reiner Knizia is all about an exciting tug of war. The king, the guards, the wizard and the jester move back and forth across the board, and your cards decide which way they go. Every character has its own power. Play it at the right moment and you shift the court bit by bit in your direction. One misjudgement and your opponent pulls everything back their way. Royal Visit is light in setup, but full of choices that make you think. Just enough to spend half an hour at the table completely caught up in that one visit that may only go one way.
