Build your trading empire along the River of Gold in Rokugan: a strategic board game full of adventure and intrigue!
Welcome to Rokugan, a land of honour, tradition and… golden opportunities! In River of Gold you step into the role of a clever merchant working for one of the mighty clans. Build harbours, markets and shrines, grow your influence with stately manors, and deliver valuable contracts to gain both wealth and prestige. With quick turns and a beautifully designed world, this game is a real treat for strategists who love variety. Do you dare to become the most powerful merchant along the River of Gold?
Each turn you choose from three actions: expand your empire, sail for valuable cargo, or fulfil lucrative contracts. Use the favour of the gods to manipulate your dice and gain the edge. The included Patrons mini expansion introduces legendary patrons from every clan, each with unique abilities and new ways to win. River of Gold is suitable for 2-4 players, ages 14 and up, and has an average playing time of 60-90 minutes.
