Retrograde

Step back into the days of beeping arcade cabinets and flickering screens. In Retrograde, nasty Astrodroids invade the earth and you grab the joystick to blast as many of them out of the sky as possible. Who will get the highest score? This is a roll-and-write about speed, so there is no time to sit back. Each round you roll your dice as fast as you can. You hunt for the combinations shown on the goal cards, snatch the best card from under someone's nose and use your pips to take out the 'Droids on your sheet. Too slow, and another player grabs the card you wanted. If you are the last one without a card, you only get two more rerolls, so you have to make do with what you have. Depending on your card, you collect coins and extra powers. Blast whole columns of 'Droids to bits to defeat bosses for bonus points, and clear rows to activate your powers. Facing the invasion alone, or with four players competing for glory? Both work, and both are just as exciting.
