Publisher: Ludus Magnus Studio
Wittenberg, 1530. More than ten years after Martin Luther published his theses, the struggle between Protestants and Catholics still rages on. But in the shadows of the city, something far darker is stirring. A group of death worshippers, the Totentanz, want to call Death itself into the world. The Church sends out a secret order to stop this evil. And that is you, together with your friends. Requiem: Downfall of Magic is a cooperative adventure game that takes you to a dark and gripping Europe at the start of the sixteenth century. Your heroes are all different and each have their own powers. Together you travel through unknown territory, make hard choices and decide how the story continues. Every decision counts and can steer you towards a completely different ending. A storybook guides you through the adventure and gives you the right instructions for every mission. The board keeps changing, built up from hexagonal tiles full of atmospheric artwork. As you explore, you run into enemies and come across mysterious events. Some lead you deeper into the world through the discovery book, with new challenges and secrets. And then there are the boss fights: each one a unique confrontation with its own rules and cards. Set in the same universe as Black Rose Wars.
