The summer of 1920. The newly born Poland is fighting for its existence as the Red Army pushes west. In Red Horde 1920 you step right into these turbulent times. On one side the revolution drives forward, with row after row of divisions and the feared cavalry of Semyon Budyonny, full of fierce Cossacks. On the other side the Polish Legions hold their ground, veterans who fought in France earlier on. And in between move Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Hungarians and even a small band of Polish defectors. This is a game for two people who like depth. The front line shifts back and forth, both sides grow ever more desperate, and everything builds towards the famous Battle of Warsaw. Designer Brian Train has thoroughly reworked his original 2008 version. The order of battle is now more accurate, the rules have been refreshed and the map has been completely redrawn at a different scale. Expect a long, gripping evening at the table, because a game takes about three hours. In the box you will find 176 counters, a map of eastern Poland and western Belarus, a colour rulebook and two player aid cards. You will still need two ordinary dice of your own. Get ready, because the road to glory lies ahead of you.
