Petris

In Petris you step into the shoes of a scientist trying to keep control over a group of hungry bacteria. These little creatures want only one thing: food. They constantly search for something to eat in the petri dishes around them, and before you know it they multiply. It is up to you to keep them in check. Watch out for bacteria that are left alone in a dish. They eat their fill and start reproducing fast, so things quickly get out of hand. During the game you steer the spread of your own bacteria so that they multiply as little as possible. In every infection phase you score points for each dish where you have more bacteria than your opponent. And those are exactly the points you want to avoid. In the end, the player with the fewest infection points wins. A short, exciting puzzle for two to three players that plays in about fifteen minutes. Just enough time to shout: just one more!
