Perudo

Five dice, a cup and a good dose of nerve. Perudo is all about daring to bluff and calling someone out at just the right moment. Each player rolls in secret and then makes a bid about all the dice on the table. For example: there are ten sixes. Does that sound too crazy for words? Then you call that player out and all the cups go up. The lovely thing is that you never know exactly what the others are hiding. You watch faces, you look for hesitation and you guess when someone is exaggerating. Get it wrong and you lose a die. The last player with dice left wins. Easy to explain, but you will happily play one round after another. Perudo is for two to ten players and fits a fun evening with friends or family. You can explain the rules in a few minutes, so new players can join right away. Expect plenty of laughter, indignant looks and that one moment when someone lies through their teeth with a perfectly straight face.
