It is the 17th century and the Caribbean Sea is one big stage of wealth and danger. You are a young daredevil from Spain, England, France, the Netherlands or Courland, with grand dreams. Will you become a celebrated courtier, a liberator or a feared pirate? The Spanish crown holds all the cards, the inquisition listens in everywhere and the black market is booming. Every year you sail between the islands to transport, plunder or smuggle ships full of silver, pearls, gemstones and precious treasure. Pax Hispanica is a game of ship battles and betrayal, in which no one follows exactly the same path. You play with your own tableau, a lively market and blind auctions in which your opponents can never quite read you. There are four different careers to choose from, and just as many ways to win. Whoever makes the best choices shapes the future of these turbulent seas. With a playing time of around 150 minutes, this is a game to really sink into, with friends at the table or on your own in solo mode. Suitable for 1 to 5 players aged 14 and up. If you know the other Pax games, you will feel right at home and discover a fresh world full of adventure at the same time.
