Can you recognise a famous figure from colours alone? In Pantone you take turns being the artist. You secretly pick a character and lay out a kind of abstract portrait with coloured cards. No words, no shapes, just colour. The rest of the table then tries to guess who you mean. A green top with a yellow face? Maybe that one superhero everybody knows. Nobody gets it? Then you give a hint each round, but that costs points for you and for whoever finally gets it right. That keeps a nice bit of tension in the game. Everyone gets to be the artist three times, and whoever has the most points after that wins. Simple to explain, but guaranteed to be hilarious at the table. With room for no fewer than twenty players, this is a bullseye for large groups, parties and birthdays. The box is full of 132 character cards, 60 colour cards in fifteen shades and a handy tray to choose your colours from. Within twenty minutes you are right in the middle of the giggling and guessing.
