From tiny plankton to the feared apex predators and the giant whales: every species is part of a living food chain. Your task? Let your own species adapt and survive in an ocean that never stands still. Oceans is a game in which you build your own ecosystem step by step. You keep giving your species new traits, and those traits combine in surprising ways. In the first half of the game you use the cards from the surface, which bring calm and balance. But those who dare to dive deeper discover the cards of The Deep. With more than a hundred different traits, those cards bring exactly the surprises and the wonder you expect below the waves. Every game plays out a little differently. Two scenario cards switch on and off during play, changing the way you play each time. That keeps every game fresh and makes you rethink your approach again and again. For 2 to 4 players, ages 12 and up, and about an hour and a half of drifting away together in the deep.
