Next War: Vietnam

China and Vietnam have known each other for centuries as neighbours who are not always friends. This time the tension is about the rich waters of the South China Sea. Both sides slowly move towards the point where backing down is no longer an option. In Next War: Vietnam you are right in the middle of that conflict, in charge of armies, aircraft and fleets. This is the fifth title in the Next War series and it brings the fighting back to Asia. As the Chinese player you want to remove the threat on your southern border for good and prove that the sea is yours. As the Vietnamese player you defend your country against a much bigger neighbour, just as earlier generations did. Choose your battles in the mountainous jungle of North Vietnam or on the Spratly and Paracel Islands. And what will the rest of the region do? Will they pick a side or stay out of the line of fire? Even the United States may suddenly land troops in the port of Haiphong. You play Next War: Vietnam with two players, head to head, or completely alone against the game. Expect long evenings full of choices, because a full campaign asks for plenty of time and attention. Weather, terrain, morale and the strength of your units together decide how a battle ends. You do not need an earlier title in the series to get started, and if you want to go further later on, you can even combine the game with other titles for an even bigger battlefield.
