Medici

Welcome to sixteenth century Florence, where the streets buzz with trade and opportunity. You take on the role of a merchant during the heyday of the famous Medici family. Every day you head to the market, where the finest goods await you: fine cloth, spices from afar, grain from distant fields, colourful dye, warm furs and, very rarely, gold from mines far across the sea. Medici is a classic auction game by Reiner Knizia, now in a fresh new look. In this edition, new artwork draws you right into the bustle and splendour of trade in old Florence. As a seafaring trader you bid on goods to fill your ships. At the end of each day you receive coins for your cargo. The game lasts three days, or three rounds. Pay close attention, because the money you bid with also counts as your points at the end. Every choice at the auction table feels tense, and together around the table you experience a real battle for the best merchandise. For 2 to 6 players and an evening full of trade and fun.
