Publisher: Decision Games (I)
Winter 1915, East Prussia. After the heavy fighting at Tannenberg, the north seemed quiet for a moment, but the threat from the east lingered. In Masuria: Winter Battle 1915 you step right into that cold, merciless campaign. The Germans attack the open flank of the Russian Tenth Army, and you decide what happens next. Can you encircle the enemy, or will he slip through your fingers? This game is all about making choices and daring to push on. You move your troops in secret, so you can surprise your opponent in places where he does not expect you. Your artillery is heavy and slow, so you have to think carefully about where and when to use it. Trains let you shift large armies across the map, but on the battlefield no one moves faster than a soldier on foot. That makes every decision tense and meaningful. You play Masuria: Winter Battle 1915 head to head with two players, or solo against yourself. Both sides have their own chances to turn the tide. History went one way, but at your table things can turn out very differently. Whoever makes the better choices and commits fully to a plan wins this icy battle.
