In Lion of Malaya you dive into one of the toughest campaigns of the Second World War. The battle for Malaya and Singapore comes to life on the map in front of you. On one side stand Indian, Australian and British troops trying to hold their ground. On the other side the Japanese army advances relentlessly. You sit across from each other, and you can both feel the tension rising. The game is cleverly put together. There are rules for fatigue, so you really notice how your troops slowly wear out and fear sets in. Air power plays a role too, as do tanks and the anti-tank guns that face them. For the Japanese player there is only one road to victory: a complete win, or nothing at all. That makes every move exciting, on both sides of the table. Lion of Malaya is made for two players aged fifteen and up, and a game takes about two and a half hours. In the box you will find 84 counters, a large map of Malaya and a smaller map of Singapore. Extensive background information is included as well, so you understand exactly what happened back then. A real must for anyone who loves history and tough two-player duels.
