Leaping Lemmings

Picture a gorge, full of wriggling lemmings with just one goal: to leap over the edge of a cliff as stylishly as possible. In Leaping Lemmings you control your own little band of these small daredevils. They are trained to take on the clans of your fellow players. Whoever dives the furthest and with the most flair earns the most points. One daring dive can easily be worth as much as five dull jumps. But watch out: two hungry eagles circle high above the gorge. They always fancy a lemming snack, and the one on top of each stack is in danger. That is why you can cover your opponents' lemmings to slow them down, although this is a risk that cuts both ways. Each turn everyone flips the same movement card, so nobody has better or worse luck than anyone else. The 16 special actions let you bend the rules in your favour, or play a trick on a fellow player. With two to six players and games of about an hour, this is a lovely game to sit around the table with and laugh. There is tension, there is strategy, and there is the delightful chaos of lemmings happily hurling themselves into the abyss. Suitable from age 13 and made to be enjoyed together.
