Jerusalem, spring of the year 33. A crowd gathers at the city gates to welcome Jesus of Nazareth. He comes to celebrate Passover with his apostles and followers. His message brings people together, but it also raises suspicion among the religious leaders. The Last Supper is coming, and everyone wants a seat at that table. In Ierusalem Anno Domini you lead a group of followers who travel to Jerusalem from the villages around the city. Your goal is clear: get your people as close as possible to Jesus and his apostles at the table. You send your followers to various places on the board: the market, the desert, the mountain, the lake and the temple. There you gather stones, bread and fish, but also denarii and cards that let you take several actions. You can choose to listen to a parable, go to the table, switch chairs or do someone a favour. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking. The patience of the Sanhedrin slowly runs out, and as soon as that happens the endgame begins. The cards are the heart of the game. Every card belongs to one of the important places. Play them in the right combinations and you can bring apostles to the table and place your followers in the best spots. The closer to Jesus, the more points at the end. Behind this rich theme lies a challenge with many choices and several routes to victory. You can play the game solo or with up to four people at the table.
