Imagine playing not in one time, but in three at the same time. In Ghosts of Christmas you lay cards in the past, the present and the future. What you do now changes what happens later. And sometimes a move in the past suddenly changes the whole outcome. That is what makes this card game so special, and sometimes a little dizzying, in the best sense of the word. The game is the Christmas version of the Japanese cult classic Time Palatrix, created by Taiki Shinzawa. This edition has been given a warm Victorian Christmas feel, complete with doors and wreaths that you collect. Do you know trick-taking games like Hearts or Whist? Then the basics will feel familiar, but travelling through time gives it a completely new spin. If you prefer a calm game, start with the simple version without bidding. Want to get the very most out of it? Then the extended 'Beyond' mode is waiting with extra challenge. The box almost fits in your coat pocket, so you can take it anywhere. Handy for an evening at home, but just as much fun during the holidays with family or friends around the table.
