Frozen Shinies

The emperor penguin loves beautiful jewellery. His little cousin does not get it at all. Why would you want an emerald if you could also have two pointy sticks? Two is much more than one, right? In Frozen Shinies you help out at court and run from one trading post to the next. You are not collecting valuable things, you are simply collecting as many things as possible. Do you dare trade a diamond for a spool of thread, a handful of coins and a floppy hat? The penguin cousin jumps for joy. Every card has a value from 1 to 14, and most cards have a special power. You play a card onto a pile and take cards with the same value from another pile. Does it not add up exactly? Then you make up the difference with tasty little fish. It is a breezy game that is over in fifteen minutes, played with two to five players at the table. You can use the card powers to turn the piles to your advantage. Is there only one pile left? Then the player with the most cards wins. Fast, funny and different every time.
