Forestry

In Forestry you are in charge of a living forest. You make sure wood gets harvested, but you also keep the forest healthy for the long run. Every choice matters: do you cut extra trees now for a nice contract, or do you think about the balance your forest needs? You are always weighing nature against production, and that makes every turn exciting. The game uses two kinds of workers. You send a logger into the forest to harvest, while your manager handles contracts and turns wood into wooden products. That combination gives you plenty to think about. Forestry is really something for players who like a solid Euro with depth and interaction at the table. What makes this game special is its link with the real world. It was developed with help from real forest managers, so while you play you pick up something about dealing with nature sustainably. Do you prefer playing on your own? There is an extensive solo mode, designed by Tomaš Holek, known from Galileo Galilei. So you can enjoy Forestry together or all by yourself, exactly as you like.
