Thousands of years ago, at the end of the ice age, people found fertile land to live on again. But the ice keeps melting, and that land will soon disappear under water. Every living thing must flee to the mountains. What remains are the traces you leave behind: rock paintings, engravings and the knowledge you pass on to those who come after you. In Footprints you lead your tribe through difficult terrain on the way to the safe hills on the horizon. Along the way you gather resources, make art in special places and improve your group's skills, so you can move forward faster. Your leader can inspire your tribe just that little bit more to push their limits. The question is: will you reach the mountains in time? Every player has their own tribe with its own set of cards, so no two groups play the same. You put the board together differently each time, which makes every game feel new. Think ahead about your route, build up your skills and manage your cards well. Would you rather play on your own? That works too, because Footprints has its own solo mode.
