Evergreen

Picture this: a bare planet that slowly comes to life. In Evergreen you let seeds sprout, trees grow into dense forests, and lakes and shrubs appear. By the end of the game you want to have the greenest and most fertile world of everyone. Each round you pick biome cards from a shared stack. With them you decide which part of your planet you develop that round. The clever bit: the cards you leave behind make those very areas more fertile and therefore more valuable. You would rather place your trees close together in the best areas, but watch out that they do not cast shade on each other. Because nothing grows without light. Evergreen plays with 2 to 6 players and a game takes about 30 minutes. You are always puzzling away on your own planet, while keeping one eye on the others. Every choice counts and no two games are the same. A lovely game for anyone aged 12 and up who enjoys calm thinking and discovering together.
