In Everdell you can place your workers on different locations on the board to gather resources or cards. You need these resources to play forest creatures and buildings in your city. The game covers four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. After the last season, all collected points are added up. The game ends when no one can or wants to take any more actions. The player who builds the best city and collects the most points wins the game.
